Chiropractic Care for Hardworking Bodies

Connected Wellness supports builders, sparkies, plumbers, drivers, and tradies across the Waikato. Two locations in Matamata and Morrinsville. Late appointments available until 7pm.

Your most expensive piece of equipment is the one you forget to service

If you work in a trade, your body is what gets the work done. It's also the part of the operation that tends to go without maintenance until something gives out.

A bad back rarely shows up overnight. It builds. A bit of tightness one week becomes a flare up a few months later, and by the time you're paying real attention to it, you're already losing days. Looking after how your body moves is just sensible upkeep.

What Chiropractic Care supports

Trade work loads the body in patterns. Twisting in tight spaces. Lifting the same gear again and again. Hours on the cab or standing on hard floors. Reaching overhead with one hand and bracing with the other. Some areas wear down faster than the rest.

Things tradies often come in for:

  • Lower back pain from lifting and long days on the feet

  • Stiff hips and tight hamstrings from kneeling, crouching, or hours behind the wheel

  • Neck and shoulder strain from overhead work or constantly looking down

  • Elbow and wrist discomfort from repetitive tool use

  • Recovery support through a long stretch on a build or contract

We adapt the plan to the work you actually do, not a one size fits all routine.

How an appointment runs

Your first visit is a full consultation. We sit down, hear what's going on, talk through your work and history, and assess how you move.

For most tradies, manual chiropractic care is the main technique we use. It's the traditional, hands on form of chiropractic: a precise, controlled adjustment of a spinal joint to restore better movement. Most tradies prefer it because the body responds well to a firm, direct adjustment. You may hear a popping sound from the joint during an adjustment, which is normal and not painful.

When it suits the person or the area being worked on, we also use:

  • Activator. A small, spring loaded instrument that delivers a gentler, targeted adjustment.

  • Drop table. A treatment table with sections that drop a short distance to assist the adjustment.

After the initial visit, most appointments take about ten minutes or less.

Built around your week

  • Late appointments at both clinics until 7pm, so a visit can fit in after the job site.

  • Two locations in Matamata and Morrinsville servicing the Waikato.

  • Registered with ACC. ACC funded appointments apply when you have an active claim for an injury sustained in the past 12 months. We can also help lodge new claims.

  • No GP referral needed.

FAQ

Do I need a referral? No. You can book directly online or call the clinic.

Will ACC cover my visit? If you have an active ACC claim for an injury sustained in the past 12 months, yes. If you don't, we can help lodge a claim during your visit when appropriate.

Is it safe? Chiropractic care in New Zealand is regulated by the Chiropractic Board. Every appointment is tailored to the person in front of us. We adjust technique based on age, build, and condition.

Will it hurt? Most patients find adjustments comfortable. A manual adjustment may produce a popping sound, which is nitrogen gas releasing from the joint. Gentler techniques like the activator and drop table are available if preferred.

How often do I need to come in? That depends on the person, the work, and what we find at the first appointment. We talk through a plan together.
